New Film Clip that we made Feick’s Device launching at Steel City Sound exhibition

I’ve been busy making some film clips of late and one of those is for my band Feick’s Device for our new single Don’t Make That Mistake. It features singer Michael Aiken that was shot in one take.

The film clip is officially launching at the Steel City Sound: 50 Years of Music in Wollongong exhibition that is being held at Wollongong Art Gallery. The opening night being Friday, 21 November from 6.30pm-8.30pm. I am also exhibiting the artworks that I did for the Feick’s Device album “What Is to be Undone?”

Cheers, Caz

Here is the clip:

A new direction for Studio 19 Wollongong

As many of you may have already noticed – we have closed the gallery arm of Studio 19 Wollongong. We felt we had achieved all that we set out to achieve with the gallery and it is now time for the business to change with our creative needs.

We are now focussing on our other services too: graphic design, web design, videography, editing and photography. See Exposure Arts and Media for a full portfolio.

But have no fear! We still have our wonderful Creative Loungeroom and are still planning some lovely events and workshops – such as the awesome Enough Said Poetry Slams on the last Thursday night of each month.

We are also still hiring out the creative lounge room for workshops, photoshoots, hens night/private party drawing sessions and more.

See our studio hire page for prices here.

Get in touch through our contact form to enquire about the creative lounge room.

Cheers, Caz and Nina.

Studio 19 Gallery Closing Party and Big Sale!

You may have heard through the grapevine that we have closed the Art Gallery arm of Studio 19 Wollongong. This decision was not made lightly but the fact is Nina and Caz are moving on to other things. Do not fear though as we are keeping the lovely creative loungeroom and will continue to host creative events such as the Poetry Slams and some live music and it will still be available for hire. We just aren’t open days unless we have an event on or by appointment only.

So to thank everyone for supporting us we are throwing one last big party to celebrate and well, let’s face it – we love a great party and any excuse is a good one.

Come down to Studio 19 for a good old fashioned BLUE LIGHT DISCO (80s outfit optional) where we will dance the night away. BYO. All ages welcome.

Tix are $10 and you can get them here:

ALSO!!!! As we are downsizing we are putting up some of our RETRO FURNITURE and bits and pieces FOR SALE. Get a ticket to the party and get first dibs before we have our big sale on Saturday and Sunday (11am-3pm). Furniture, books, cds, clothing, kitchenware, and if you ever thought about buying some of cazzie’s artwork now is your chance – make us an offer!

NOW TAKING SUBMISSIONS: Put Your Art Where Your Mouth Is Poster Art Exhibition

You are invited to be a part of a great new exhibition to be held at Studio 19 Art Gallery Wollongong

PUT YOUR ART WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS…

Exhibition on show from 11th June – 28th June 2014

Opening Night Friday, 13th June from 6.30pm-9.30pm

Put Your Art Where Your Mouth Is…. is a poster art exhibition that outlines the role of issues-based poster art in society and it’s importance in detailing awareness of problems that effect local and global communities. We will use this exhibition as a platform for activism and political protest and show the ways in which it can encourage community participation in creating issues-based design. Each poster is to have a political, environmental or social message. It is our time to speak out about things that affect us. Think the Government, bullying, racism, prejudice, public misconceptions, environmental issues or anything you want to bring attention to and say it by designing/illustrating/making a great poster.

The posters are to be printed A2 size (420 x 594 mm) with a 1cm white border. Posters will be pinned to the wall (no need to frame them).

Entry to the exhibition is $50 per entry and this covers hire of the space, insurance and opening night nibblies.

Studio 19’s commission is 20% so please factor this into your sale price. You may sell editions of your prints.

Interest must be registered by 13th May and works must be in by 4th June.

This exhibition is open to emerging as well as established artists and designers
